some other great screens

Loved our screen discussion. There is never enough time to make all the great connections possible — I did want to mention a few screens I particularly like, though:

Tanya Visosevic’s ‘Living Screen’ –nano-projections onto blood cells, sperm, mouse corneas — the screen is literally dying before your eyes, as you watch, becoming less animated, holding less light. Very interesting. Nano movies were made especially for the screens, the first by Barbara Creed.

Khronos Projector — “[a video time-warping machine with a tangible deformable screen]”
– when I saw this, i couldn’t stop touching it:

khronos homepage

“An interactive art installation that allows people to visualize movie content in an entirely new way. By actually touching and deforming the screen, the user can send portions of the image forward or backward in time.”
