Your Profile
To view and edit your profile,
(You can also reset your password using this tool.)
- Log into the admin area by clicking on the Login link on your blog homepage.
- Type your login id and password. Click Login button.
- Click Users link on the top menu.
- Under Your Profile tab, edit any information as needed.
- Click Update Profile button if any changes are made.
Authors & Users
When logged in,
Level 0 users can
- edit their own profile. (Users > Your Profile)
Level 1 users can
- do what level 0 users can.
- write posts but can’t publish them. (Drafts only)
- edit their own post. (Manage > Posts)
- view posts made by others. (Manage > Posts)
- view categories. (Manage > Categories)
- view comments. (Manage > Comments)
- view comments that are waiting for moderation. (Manage > Awaiiting Moderation)
Level 2 and 3 users can
- do what level 0 and 1 users can.
- write posts and publish them.
- edit their own posts as well as posts made by lower level users.
Level 4 users can
- do what level 0, 1, 2, 3 users can.
- edit categories for posts. (Manage > Categories)
Level 5 users can
- do what level 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 users can.
- write page and publish them. (Write > Write Page)
- manage their own pages as well as the ones written by lower level users. (Manage > Pages)
- approve comments. (Manage > Awaiting Moderation)
- add and edit their own links. (Links > Add Link)
- access and modify Link Categories. (Links > Link Categories)
- access Import Links. (Links > Import Links)
- view and edit all information on users of lower levels (0-5). (Users > Authors & Users)
- edit timestamps of posts.
Level 6 and 7 users can
- do what level 0-5 users can.
- edit the links of users with lower user levels. (Links > Manage Links)
- access and edit all Options. (Options)
- upload files if the feature is enabled. (Upload)
(If you would like to change the default minimum user level - 6 for file upload feature, you can change it in Options > Miscellaneous.)
Level 8, 9 users can
- do what level 0-7 users can.
- change and edit Themes and Templates. (Presentation > Themes, Theme Editor)
- enable and disable Plugins. (Plugins > Plugins, Plugin Editor)
Admin account is the only account with a user Level of 10.
