The older speaker was born in Villa San Michele (Pagliarone; Isernia) in 1933. She has attended grade 3. She married a man from the same town. She immigrated to Canada in 1965 and lived in Toronto and Vaughan.
The younger speaker was born in Toronto in 1971; her mother tongue is Molisan dialect. She obtained her PhD in Italian linguistics from the University of Toronto and she has also engaged in research in Italy. |
