Carolyn Kay, is an Assistant Professor of history at Trent University, who received her doctorate from Yale University in 1994. Her primary interest is German cultural history, particularly the relationship between politics and art, and she is currently preparing a manuscript for the University of Toronto Press on modernist culture in fin-de-siecle Hamburg.
