About the Editor
Katharine
S. Milar is a Professor of Psychology at Earlham College, Richmond, Indiana.
She has been a member of the faculty there since 1980. In 1986, she was awarded a Faculty Open
Fellowship from The Lilly Foundation in Indianapolis, Indiana which allowed her to begin pursuing
her interests in history of women in psychology. She is presently serving as Treasurer of Cheiron: The International Society of the History of the
Behavioral and Social Sciences; she also hosted the annual meeting of Cheiron at Earlham College in 1996. Since 1993, she has served as editor of the "Reclaiming
our Heritage" column of The Feminist Psychologist, newsletter of
the Psychology of Women Division (35)of the American
Psychological Association. The column
features biographical essays about women important to the history of
psychology. She has served as Program
Chair for the History of Psychology Division (26) of the American Psychological
Association and in
2000 was elected division President.
