I have selected an article on Claudius. My essay will explore Claudius'

strengths as an Imperator, why he was often perceived as weak and incompetent,

and to what extent could this perception of him be challenged. I am starting

off my research on Claudius by looking at his character through accounts of his

rhetoric and his style of speech...
