The program AltRegression (short for Alternative Regression) is a Microsoft Excel Add-In to calculate the least-squares estimates of a linear model, measure the contribution of one or more explanatory variables, and determine tolerance intervals for parameters and forecasts. The Add-In can be found in the file AltRegression.xla (102KB). Instructions for installing and using the Add-In are in the file ARreadme.doc (143KB, requires Microsoft Word). The data used in Chapter 2 and the instructions are in the Excel file gascon.xls (14KB). To download the files, right-click on their labels and follow your browser's instructions. |
