Ute Lehrer obtained her PhD from UCLA. She is an Assistant Professor at Brock University, Ontario, where she teaches urban geography and urban planning. Previously she held a position at the School of Architecture and Planning, SUNY Buffalo, and was Visiting Scholar at York University, at University of Toronto, as well as at University of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles. Her research interests focus on cities and globalization with a particular emphasis on the discursive practices of image production in cities. She currently conducts a SSHRC funded research project by the title “Urban Images, public space and the growth of private interests in Toronto.” |
