Datejie is a media producer, interviewer, researcher and educator with more than 25 years' combined experience in community development, arts, human rights and equity, health promotion, labour and broadcasting sectors. Her work prioritizes the meaningful participation, analysis, concerns and leadership of under-represented and marginalized groups at all scales. She practices an integrated intersectional and social justice approach from idea to implementation. datejie's current work tackles the impact of historical trauma, ongoing violence and oppression on individual and collective safety, identity, capacity and well-being. She uses dialogue, storytelling and self-awareness as essential practices for conflict mediation, healing and transformation.
