The data librarian has the following suggestions about getting access to the documents and data on estat. I have put the suggestions in order.

1. If you are using an internet service provider other than York, you must configure your proxy server settings. Go to the following website and follow the instructions:

http://www.library.yorku.ca/eResourcesHome/RemoteAccess.htm

If you are using an internet service provider other than York, you have to go through a proxy server to fool the remote database or eresource into thinking you are a York user.

2. To download articles you must have a valid bar code and PIN for your library account. Using the proxy server, requires that you validate yourself as a legitimate York user by providing a valid library bar code and PIN. You can set up a PIN at Scott library.

I hope these suggestions are helpful for those of you who use internet service providers other than York. Contact the library if you are having troubles with either of these suggestions.
