One could argue that the information on HEAL's site should never be used and yes, the site is quite popular. However, its most notable feature is that it proposes an alternative or dissident view of the relationship between HIV and AIDS. Below are screenshots demonstrating how to do a link search using Google. This screenshot shows Google's list of results from June 20, 2006: Alternative or dissident views are not necessarily problematic and some may argue that they provide a good counterweight to prevailing knowledge. HEAL's site would be a good place to get information if you were doing research on alternative views on the HIV/AIDS relationship. However, for most research looking at HIV and AIDS, you would not want to rely exclusively on this site. An added bonus of doing 'link' searching: if you wanted to find other websites with alternative or dissident views on the relationship between HIV and AIDS, these results would be very useful. If you find a website that contains useful information for your research, see what sites are linking to it. Ready to move on? Go to Purpose and Objectivity
