Deadline: Feb. 18 Canadian Foundation for Dietetic Reseach Research Grants The Canadian Foundation for Dietetic Research supports research into the science and art of food service, clinical and community-based dietetic practice. These one-year grants range from $5,000-$10,000. Deadline: Feb. 15 Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute Visiting Lectureship for Canadian Scholars The Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute is offering to send a Canadian scholar to India to give lectures and conduct seminars on Canada. The support includes a return ticket to India, local travel and living expenses for three weeks. Deadline: Feb. 15 Foundation for Legal Research Funding for Legal Research The Foundation funds legal research falling into three broad categories, namely: (1) research and writing where the emphasis is on the statement of existing rules of law, sometimes referred to as doctrinal research; (2) research with regard to the working of the legal system; and (3) research with regard to development in fields peripheral to legal doctrine, such as criminology, psychology, psychiatry, sociology and economics and their relationship to rules of law. Grants are intended for summer research, and range from $3,000-$5,000. Deadline: late February Boehringer Ingelheim (Canada) Ltd. Young Investigator Award in the Biological Sciences Boehringer Ingelheim Ltd. provides support for research by new faculty members at Canadian universities. Faculty members whose research interests lie in virology, cellular and molecular biology, biochemistry, enzymology, or pharmacology and experimental animal models, are encouraged to apply. Up to $15,000 per year is available, for up to three years. Deadline: Feb. 28

Applications for external sources of funding (i.e., outside York) must be submitted to ORA before forwarding them to the agencies. To assist in meeting these deadlines, it is recommended that applications be submitted to ORA one to two weeks prior to the deadline dates.
