Financial Planning Education Online: Expanding York's Reach

This project converts the existing Financial Planning Stream in the School of Administrative Studies to full online delivery. In line with York’s eLearning priority, conversion of these courses will provide accessible, rigorous, innovative, and flexible learning for working professionals and students across Canada. This online offering will be of great interest particularly for mature or professional students who are interested in taking the CFP® exam as all required courses for the certification will be available online. We believe that converting the full financial planning stream to an online offering of high quality will ensure York continues to lead in this area while increasing enrollment and providing a rigorous education that will prepare students to be ethical and professional financial planners. This conversion will allow us to offer the entire BCom Specialized Honours Finance degree online in the future.
