Description
The purpose of this project is three-fold:
- To develop and refine an interactive simulation video (with an embedded story line and decision-making points) geared to teach a conflict resolution communication skill, to undergraduate nursing students in a 4000 level Integrated Practicum course, in the context of providing culturally competent client care.
- To evaluate the effectiveness of the nursing students’, use of the conflict resolution skill in a HFS scenario, after exposure to either the interactive simulation video, or the client profile they currently receive.
- To collaborate with and evaluate the Theatre Program students’ experience related to their role in the simulation video, and as a Simulated Person (SP) in the HFS scenario evaluation component of the project.
