To our alumni, donors and friends,
The holidays are a time to reflect on everything we have to be thankful for from the past year – and so we want to thank you for all that you’ve done for York University in 2014. Your support helps to make and keep our University great for future generations of students.
Whether your support this year came as a mentor giving advice to one of our current students, a participant in one of our many annual events, a donor committing to a financial gift, a volunteer devoting countless hours and valuable guidance to the University or simply as a proud member of York’s alumni community, you were incredibly important in realizing our vision for York.
Throughout 2014, an overwhelming number of you took advantage of our events, recognition programs, volunteer opportunities, exclusive perks and communications of all kinds to stay engaged with York. In fact, this past September, we enjoyed our largest Homecoming celebration yet, with nearly 40 events over four days on both campuses and more community members in attendance than ever before.
This year also showcased your incredible generosity, a strong sign of the connection and passion you share with York and a promising sign of what is to come. In 2014, more than 6500 donors contributed more than $30 million to support York and our students.
Thank you to everyone who has gotten involved with York over this past year, who has helped to move us forward through their generosity and financial support, and who are keeping the red-and-white spirit alive as our proud alumni—you are having a tremendous impact on our University, our students and our future.
And while we look back on this year with fond memories, this is also our time to look ahead to what’s next for York and our community. We are determined to build upon the successes we’ve enjoyed in 2014 and use all that we’ve learned from our programs, events and from you, our alumni, donors and friends, to ensure an even better 2015.
With your continued support and participation over the next year and beyond, we will go on building the best York imaginable, together!
Wishing all of you a festive holiday season – here’s to a fantastic 2015!
