New rankings place Schulich MBA program in top 20 worldwide

Schulich School of BusinessThe Schulich School of Business at York University was ranked 16th in the world and No. 1 in Canada in the annual global MBA survey conducted by América Economía, the leading business magazine in Latin America.

In addition to ranking 16th overall, Schulich placed 6th among business schools from North America. Harvard finished first overall, with London Business School, Yale, IMD and the University of California at Berkeley all placing among the top 10.

The América Economía ranking, titled “Best Business Schools for Latin Americans 2016,” rates leading MBA programs from around the world using a broad range of criteria, including student selectivity, international experience and diversity, network potential and emphasis on innovation.

The survey employs a statistical-based methodology to rank business schools, with points awarded in key areas of measurement such as international scope and orientation, average GMAT, and the total number of innovation and entrepreneurship centres and labs housed at the School.

“We’re delighted to have been rated by América Economía as one of the top 20 business schools in the world,” said Schulich Dean Dezsö J. Horváth. “Today’s results mark the seventh time this academic year that one of Schulich’s MBA or EMBA programs has been ranked No. 1 in Canada by a global survey, and in one of those surveys, our MBA program was ranked No. 1 in the world.”
