York seeks feedback from alumni to enhance engagement

York’s Alumni Engagement team is conducting a survey of the University’s alumni, with the goal of better understanding how to communicate with alumni in the most effective and efficient ways possible, about content that matters to them.

“Here at York, we have a global network of engaged, enthusiastic alumni. And as some of our most valuable community members, we want them to participate in and help shape our future,” says Julie Lafford, Executive Director, Alumni Engagement.

In early May, alumni will receive an email inviting them to take part in the survey, which takes about 10-15 minutes to complete.

“The thoughts and feedback of our alumni are integral to how we operate and interact with our community, and it is our hope that, based on their feedback, we can ensure our interactions are relevant, timely, and meaningful,” says Lafford. “We hope alumni will take the time to provide their thoughts and preferences on our current engagement efforts, and I personally look forward to their ideas.”

Those that complete the survey will be entered into a draw to win one of three exciting prizes:

  • Box seats to a Rogers Cup women’s semi-final match, taking place at York this August
  • A 64-GB iPad mini
  • Admission for two adults and two children to Canada’s Wonderland
