Martin Goldfarb is chairman of Goldfarb Consultants Ltd., leading its growth for over 30 years. Goldfarb also acts as co-chairman of Kantar, the research coordinator of all WPP research companies and as WPP key account coordinator for Ford Motor Company.
Goldfarb is the chairman, president and chief executive officer of The Goldfarb Corporation and director of Downsview Park Inc. He is past director of Noma Industries Limited, Livent Inc., Axia Multimedia Corporation, the Canadian Council of Christians and Jews, the Canadian Opera Company, the Toronto Symphony and the Shaw Festival. He serves as non-executive Chair of Workbrain, Chair of Speedy Auto Services and co-chair of Fleming Packaging. He is a former governor and now honorary governor of York University and shares authorship of Marching to a Different Drummer. Goldfarb was also appointed as an officer of the Order of Canada in 1998.
When Goldfarb has a bit of spare time, he enjoys tennis, skiing and sailing mixed with the theatre, opera and symphony.
Joan Goldfarb is the president of Joan Goldfarb Design Limited. She also serves as president and director of Extension Investments Limited. From the 1960s to the early 1970s, she dedicated a considerable amount of time towards the success of Goldfarb Consultants and worked as a recreational group worker (teen division) with the YM-YWHA.
Goldfarb’s community involvement is notable through her work as an executive committee member of the Muki Baum Association for Multi-handicapped Children and Adults and her considerable involvement with the rehabilitation of the McMichael Canadian Art Collection. Her other activities include serving as a member of the Canadian Museum Association, as a steering committee member for the CMA Toronto Conference and a board member with Temple Emanu-El.
She has a passion for the promotion and preservation of art, demonstrated through her work with National Museums of Canada. Goldfarb has also been involved in the delivery of health-care services through her roles with the Baycrest Centre for Geriatric Care.
