Dr. Zhu specializes in the research and development
of aerospace structures and materials. Dr. Zhu applies techniques in
dynamic interface analysis to applications including the dynamics and
control of aerial refueling hoses and other towed equipment. Dr. Zhu
directs the Materials
and Structure Laboratory that utilises photometric and ultrasonic
instrumentation to measure motion and material stress.
