Joel is a faculty member in the School of Administrative Studies and teaches foundational courses in the BCom program along with upper-level courses in sustainability. His research also falls under the banner of sustainability, and current projects run the gamut from examining personal behaviours and “green” office building dynamics, to studies on coffee and guitars. In his non-academic travails, he has had opportunities to frame houses, rehabilitate pianos, practice CAD design, and to build/manage a variety of residential and commercial construction projects. He has a hankering for making/fixing stuff and a well-appointed workshop, coupled with a surplus of project ideas and a deficit of time and energy to see them materialize. C4 strikes Joel as a wonderful opportunity to bring the right and left hands together to work closely with students and community partners towards building better, together.
