Alexandra is a PhD candidate at York University in the Faculty of Environmental and Urban Change (EUC) with an interdisciplinary research focus that combines performance studies, the energy humanities, and decolonial approaches to storytelling. Alexandra is also a Toronto-based theatre artist and runs a company that creates original and research-based works about urban life. Through her work as an artist and community organizer, Alexandra has had the pleasure of working with a variety of non-for-profit organizations and brings to C4 her expertise in community partnerships and collaboration, research-based storytelling, and knowledge mobilization. Alexandra is passionate about teaching whether for the arts or academia and is constantly inspired by the innovative and dedicated students at York University. She is very excited to work with the teaching team and students of this year’s C4 classroom and looks forward to embracing the challenges and exciting collaborations that emerge throughout the program.
