Project Summary

Our project’s goal is to raise awareness, educate, and inform students about the various water issues affecting the Six Nations of the Grand River. Our team compiled a systematic literature review on the relationship between mental health and water insecurity that was transformed into an entertaining and informative interdisciplinary podcast. Informed by the ethos of decolonization, our Terrastories podcast outlined the anthropogenic impact of pollution and mapped the locations of pollutants emitted into the Grand River along the Haldimand Tract. The intention of our project was twofold – to help the community of the Six Nations of the Grand River while demonstrating the complexity of issues related to contemporary water insecurity.
