Project Summary
This project explores the real-world inequities that people face when engaging with the contemporary fashion marketplace – with an emphasis on the context of online shopping. Our project is a response to the question: How can you help the public better determine their clothing size for online stores and provide more equitable access to online shopping? We perceived this question to be quite broad and decided to focus on a specific group – the Extended Sizing Community – since we noticed during our research that they are often neglected by fashion retailers. Our final product was a website that provides resources to the Extended Sizing Community that they can use to improve their experience of online shopping.
