York University -TD Community Engagement Centre – York’s longtime hyper-local satellite in the Jane Finch Community.

Office of Community and  Government Relations – Based in the President’s office, CGR is the gateway to government and community to advance York’s reputation and strengths.

Knowledge Mobilization Unit in the Office of the VPRI –Creates connections between researchers and community and government organizations in order to support the development of research partnerships and dissemination of research results.

Community Engagement Community of Practice (CoP) - A space where York staff and faculty members can connect with colleagues to share and exchange information about critical aspects of community engagement work.

Office of the Vice Provost Academic - As a leading engaged University, the University Academic Plan 2020-2025, sets the conditions for an embedded approach to living well together in ways that look toward a more just and equitable future.

  • Office of Strategic Procurement - Social procurement considers how procurement, the process of buying goods and services, can positively impact the social well-being of communities and assist to reduce poverty, promote economic and social inclusion, and support local economic development and social enterprise. It fosters an enabling environment by embedding supply chain diversity and workforce development initiatives within procurement processes to promote inclusive economic growth.
  • Organized Research Units in the Office of Research and Innovation- York is home to 31 organized research units (ORUs), which have a strong history of collaborative, innovative and interdisciplinary research. These ORUs provide a home for research development beyond the traditional academic units. Steeped in York’s tradition of collegial interdisciplinarity, ORUs serve as synergistic hubs for participatory research programs that bring together expertise from across disciplines.
