CERLAC BHM Documentaries & Discussion: Top Scholars

This documentary explores the relationship between slavery and education in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.  Enslaved individuals were systematically denied education during the colonial era though after emancipation, efforts were made to establish educational institutions for the previously enslaved.  However, the British education policy for Caribbean colonies aimed at producing a limited number of educate elites to serve colonial matters.
