ADERSIM, York University

Hosted by the ADERSIM Lab, this event is more than just a demonstration of technology—it's a step towards a more interactive and engaging future for York University. ADERSIM will highlight how these technologies can be continuously accessed and utilized by both students and faculty to enhance educational outcomes and foster innovation on campus.

Illumin Drone Show Company Inc.

Illumin Drone Show Company Inc. (Illumin) is Canada's leading drone show operator. We operate across North America delivering stunning aerial displays with up to 1,500 drones. As a Transport-Canada approved drone training school, Illumin is also a leader in drone swarm pilot training.

We would like to demonstrate our swarm equipment, such as our ground control station and light show drones. This would be an opportunity for the public to get a first-hand look at how a drone show is controlled.

First Class Drones

First Class Drones (FCD) is excited to showcase our Alta X, a state-of-the-art heavy-lift drone capable of carrying payloads of up to 35 lbs. While it's primarily designed for operating high-end cinema camera packages and powerful lighting equipment, its versatility allows it to transport various payloads within its weight capacity. We will also bring our FPV setup to demonstrate the difference between traditional drones and First Person View drones.

We will provide training on the essentials, including:

-Pre-Flight Inspections: Understanding the critical importance of thoroughly checking the drone before each flight.
-Post-Flight Inspections: Conducting detailed checks after each flight to ensure the drone and its attachments are ready and safe for the next operation.
-Rules and Regulations: Familiarizing operators with the guidelines specific to flying a drone of this size.
-Best Practices: Adapting flying techniques to different environments and situations for optimal performance and safety.
