The CITY Institute’s William Jenkins launches his new book, Between Raid and Rebellion: The Irish in Buffalo and Toronto, 1867-1916, at Massey College on November 5.
The book, published by McGill-Queen’s University Press, compares immigration from Ulster to Toronto and Munster to Buffalo and the Irish experience in the context of “a loyal dominion within Britain’s empire and in a republic whose self-confidence knew no bounds.”
The launch takes place from 5 to 7 p.m. at the University of Toronto’s Massey College (4 Devonshire Place).
