December 7th CITY Seminar- Margit Mayer presents “Contradictions in the Neoliberalization of the Urban”.

CITY and the Canadian Centre for German and European Studies jointly present “Contradictions in the Neoliberalization of the Urban” with Margit Mayer (Department of Political Science, Freie Universität Berlin). This event will be held Friday, December 7th from 12:30-2:00 pm in room 305, York Lanes.

Margit Mayer teaches comparative and North American politics at the Freie Universität Berlin, Germany. Her research focuses on urban and social politics and social movements. She has published on various aspects of contemporary urban politics, urban theory, (welfare) state restructuring and social movements. She co-edited Urban Movements in a Globalising World (Routledge 2000), Cities for People not for Profit (Routledge 2012), and Neoliberal Urbanism and Its Contestations (Palgrave MacMillan 2012).
