November 16th CITY Seminar – Cathy Molloy presents “Markham Museum: Growing with Markham”

Cathy Molloy (Director, Markham Museum) presents “Markham Museum: Growing with Markham”. This event will be held on Friday, November 16th in HNES 142 from 12:30-2:30pm.

Cathy has been the Director of the Markham Museum since August 2008. She has a diverse education and work experience including archaeology and accounting. Starting her work career as an accountant in the corporate world Cathy made a major switch in 1992 to become a curator, holding positions in Oshawa and then Markham, Ontario. Her first major museum management project was the Aurora Historical Society where Church Street School was saved and transformed into a Cultural Centre in 2008. Cathy was thrilled to be asked to return to Markham Museum later that same year. Together with staff, the Friends foundation, stakeholders and the community, Markham Museum has transformed into a dynamic community resource. Cathy is a current Board member of the York Region Arts Council (YRAC) and a member of the YRAC conference sub-committee.

Everyone is welcome.
