Graduate Studies Diploma Options

The Israel and Golda Koschitzky Centre for Jewish Studies, in partnership with the Faculty of Graduate Studies, is pleased to offer several options for graduate-level study in Hebrew and Jewish Studies.

The Graduate Diploma in Advanced Hebrew and Jewish Studies allows students enrolled in a graduate program at York University to formally specialize in Jewish Studies and to be awarded a Graduate Diploma in Advanced Hebrew and Jewish Studies by the Faculty of Graduate Studies upon completion of all degree and diploma requirements. The Graduate Diploma in Jewish Studies will be of interest to lay and professional leaders in the Jewish community, to teachers and administrators in Jewish schools, and to those with an interest in Jewish Studies who do not wish to earn a formal graduate degree. The Diploma will provide an intellectual grounding for their activities and give them the information needed to put their leadership, teaching, and interests into a broader context. The Educators’ track of the Graduate Diploma in Jewish Studies is designed in cooperation with York University’s Faculty of Education for teachers and administrators in Jewish schools who do not wish to earn a formal graduate degree. This partnered York University – Hebrew University track will provide an intellectual grounding for professional educational activities and place leadership and teaching in a broader context.
