“When I came to York in 2018, it felt like coming home. Though I came from a small town in Norfolk, Ontario (barely an intersection to its name), I always felt comfortable and confident at York. I had the privilege of living in Bethune residence in my first year and worked in the Bethune College head office in my last. From going on countless walks with my best friend around York Lanes, hosting Zoom events during lockdown, helping plan and facilitate an Orientation Day for incoming students, and finally to celebrating graduation surrounded by amazing friends, I couldn’t have imagined a more fulfilling experience. I got to explore my passions and hobbies with mountains of support, both in class and out. The friends and connections that I made while at York are amazing and lifelong, and I’m grateful for the person that they have helped turn me into today.”

Experiences at York:
Froshed with Bethune College (1st year)
Lived in Bethune, Vanier, and Pond Residences (years 1-4)
Residence House Don for (years 2-4)
Academic Peer Support Assistant for Bethune College (summer of year 4)
Special Projects person for Bethune College (year 5)
