The Recipient of the Robert Everett Exceptional Leadership in Student Governance Award
The Robert Everett Award recognizes and celebrates students who have made a valuable and significant contribution to the governance of York University. Taline is a Bethune student and Biology major who has provided exceptional student leadership to the Bethune and Science communities and to the broader university. She has distinguished herself in governance through her work as a member of the Bethune College Council, the Science Student Caucus, Science Faculty Council, and the York University Alumni Board. Science Dean Rui Wang notes that "Taline's leadership is defined by her unwavering commitment to collegial governance.” She is also an important mentor to other student leaders, as Co-Coordinator of Bethune’s Peer Mentor Program and in her many other roles within the university. We are thrilled to celebrate this special recognition of one of our outstanding student leaders.
