While those of us from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s will remember the 'Snail as a coffee shop and pub, it reopened in 2004 as a specialty restaurant, featuring home-style Caribbean and North American cuisine at very reasonable prices. Yes, you can still get a coffee, soft beverage, beer or glass of wine at the Orange Snail. It's owner-operator Albert Bain, his family, and staff have provided TLC to thousands of Stong students over the past 15 years and continue to make the 'Snail the social centre of Stong and the "home away from home" that it always was.
