We are graduate and undergraduate students at York University who study, research, and do volunteer and advocacy work on refugee and forced migration issues. Officially, the Student Caucus represents Certificate and Diploma students of the Centre for Refugee Studies, but we welcome all students interested in forced migration.
The Caucus has organized fourteen annual student conferences since 2006, as well as holding seminars, social events, and working to promote student involvement in volunteer opportunities and the broader activities of the Centre for Refugee Studies (CRS).
Our approach is interdisciplinary, and some of our main specializations include: political science, equity studies, education, social science, anthropology, sociology, international development studies, development studies, gender, sexuality and women’s studies, geography, social work, etc.
