Job description
Under the supervision of Professor Steven Hoffman and Dr. Susan Rogers Van Katwyk, the AMR Research Assistant (for up to 10 hours per week) will support systematic review, evidence synthesis, and policy analysis projects aimed at generating evidence for policymaking on antimicrobial resistance.
The RA will report to the Managing Director of the AMR Policy Accelerator, and to project leads on a project-by-project basis. The RA will be housed within AMR Policy Accelerator, an initiative of the Global Strategy Lab funded by the Wellcome Trust. We undertake rigorous research, develop practical resources and tailor custom advisory services to comprehensively support equitable, evidence-informed policymaking on antimicrobial resistance at the national and global level.
Specific research activities the student(s) will be engaged in:
- Support research design, data collection, data management, and data analysis for Accelerator projects including systematic reviews and evidence syntheses;
- Contribute to developing high quality manuscripts, research reports, and data visualizations;
- Conduct literature searches and environmental scans;
- Support knowledge translation activities such as report writing, public reports, presentations, grant applications, and peer-reviewed publications;
- Actively contribute and participate in a dynamic and highly productive team environment;
- Communicate effectively with team members.
Qualifications
- Current undergraduate York student. Applicants from diverse programs of study are encouraged.
