Recap – Voices on the Move Podcast Launch

Post

Published on November 12, 2024

The Dahdaleh Institute recently hosted the launch event for Voices on the Move, a podcast focusing on the complex relationship between climate change and migration. Hosted by Dahdaleh faculty fellow Yvonne Su and Sabrina Sam, the event welcomed participants with visuals, insights, and resources showcasing the podcast series’ journey and mission to amplify the experiences of climate migrants around the world.

Attendees had the chance to dive deeper into the podcast series, exploring its themes and listening to clips featuring firsthand accounts from individuals experiencing climate-induced displacement. These stories offered powerful perspectives, helping listeners connect with the resilience and complexity of this issue.

After the presentation, we opened the floor to discussions where audience members shared their reflections on the intersection of climate change and migration. The dialogues were lively, thoughtful, and full of optimism for solutions that centre human rights and social justice. Thank you to everyone who joined us to support Voices on the Move and shared their thoughts on this vital issue!

Voices on the Move is available now on Migration Matters’ website, Spotify, Apple PodcastsAmazon Music, and YouTube.
