Refugee Experiences of Integration in Canadian Small Communities
Led by Dahdaleh Institute research fellow Maissaa Almustafa and Willem Maas (Department of Political Science, Glendon College, York University), the call aims to address the knowledge gap of refugee integration in Canadian smaller communities by seeking scholarly contributions that examine the integration of refugees in small and medium sized towns and rural areas in Canada. Stigma and Mental Health in Infectious Disease
Guest edited by Dahdaleh Institute faculty fellow Amrita Daftary and Dr. Jeremiah Chikovore (Human Sciences Research Council, South Africa), this call for the new journal BMC Global and Public Health aims to capture global efforts and novel approaches such as associations between infectious disease stigma and mental health; resilience or quality of life interventions; novel intervention approaches and methods; intersectionality of stigma and mental health with race, gender, class; novel data collection/evaluation tools; and approaches to reduce structural drivers of stigma. Deadline: May 4, 2023
Health Inequities Among Vulnerable Populations
Led by DI faculty fellow, Godfred Boateng, this Special Issue of the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health calls for studies on the measurement of health inequities among vulnerable populations and developing tools/constructs/indicators that facilitate the study of environmental, global, and public health research targets.
