Dahdaleh Institute Office Access

Dahdaleh Institute members may use the offices Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Researchers are welcome to drop in or reserve workspace. Please note that administrative staff will be working from home on Mondays and Fridays for the rest of the summer beginning Monday, June 30 to Friday, September 5, 2025, inclusive.

For access to the Dahdaleh Institute offices, please complete the following steps:

  1. Submit your YU Card information. 
  2. Submit the room request form for in-person activity.
    1. Most of the meeting spaces are equipped with presentation technology e.g., built-in PC and screen projector
    2. Additional equipment and training sessions are available upon request.
    3. A confirmation email and calendar invitation will be sent when the space has been reserved.
  3. Screen yourself for COVID-19 symptoms. Do not come to campus if you are feeling unwell. 
  4. Wear a mask and respect physical distancing.
  • Only DI staff may use the front entrance’s kick stand; otherwise, please keep this door closed and locked at all times.
  • If someone seeks entry to the office, you may only let them into the space if they are a known member of the Dahdaleh Institute and eligible to use the space (searchable here: yorku.ca/dighr/people/)
    • Please don’t feel pressured to answer the door bell for guests or visitors.
    • If you are unsure of who the person is or their affiliation with the Institute,
      • you may deny their request(s).
      • you can email dighr@yorku.ca and DI staff will respond with guidance ASAP.
    • In each instance, please send an informational email to dighr@yorku.ca
  • Check in with other members using all parts of the open workspace and offices prior to leaving for the day; the last person in the office is tasked with turning the lights off and ensuring that the front door is closed.

York has now paused its vaccination mandate, and daily screening with YU Screen is no longer required. While masks are no longer mandatory on campus, free masks are available if you need one at the Institute.
