Exciting New Events Scheduled for the Winter 2024!

The Dahdaleh Institute for Global Health Research has prepared an invigorating line-up of seminars for the start of the 2024 Winter semester. The events will feature a variety of topics covering the effects of climate change on fisheries, patient-centered healthcare approach, and water resource management.

It will also launch a special virtual seminar series organized by the Wellness Impact Lab in collaboration with Connected North and TakingITGlobal wherein experts from Northern communities will share insights on the series theme of “Listening to the Canadian North.” Save the date and register to gain new insights and engage in thought-provoking discussions!

  • Predicting Adaptations to Rapid Climate Velocities in Canadian Fishing Communities, with Sherif Shuaib (Wednesday, January 10 at 1 p.m. ET)
  • Advancing Patient-Centered Access to Tuberculosis Healthcare in Low and Middle-Income Countries, with Charity Oga-Omenka (Wednesday, January 17 at 1 p.m. ET)
  • Decentralized Water Markets and Seasonality in Freetown, Sierra Leone, with Brian Waters (Wednesday, January 24 at 1 p.m. ET)
  • Climate Change and Mental Health: Voices from the Land (Wednesday, January 31 at 1 p.m. ET)
