Sophia is a Research Assistant at the Dahdaleh Institute for Global Health Research, currently working with the Wellness Impact Lab (WIL) under the guidance of Dr. Harvey Skinner and Susan Harris. Her role focuses on developing and evaluating innovative wellness-promoting interventions, such as Climate Cafes and the ‘Interbeing Wellness’ program, which integrates Qi Gong and Mindfulness Meditation to address stress and enhance overall well-being. Additionally, she supports the lab’s community outreach efforts by managing digital content, including copywriting and digital graphics for social media and event promotion. Sophia is passionate about mental health research, especially within the field of neuropsychology, and aims to explore the cognitive processes underlying well-being and resilience in young adults.
Sophia is currently completing her Specialized Honours in Psychology at York University, with a focus on neuropsychology. Her broader research interests include the intersection of cognitive function, mental health interventions, and mindfulness.
