These ongoing communications will provide the digital community news on the new module designs, templates, functionality, and opportunities available to enhance your websites and pages. These updates will continue on an ad-hoc basis as we consistently enhance and evolve our digital properties. The below updates are now available for you to use, plan your websites and update designs.
Module Updates:
- New Module – Blue Variations:
- We have expanded some module variations to allow for the York blue to be including in your website design. Note when using any of these variations we recommend no more than 2 per page and recommend that you follow the brand colour proportionality.
- Module with blue variations: Module 13 – Paragraph with Image, 17 – Infographics, 22 – Window Module, 27 – Profile Window and 28 – Brand Window.
- New Functionality – Animations:
- We have added some new animations to some of our modules to enhance the experience of our pages. These animations have been directly added to each module pattern and you have the option to select which one you want. If you want to have it, follow these steps:
- Activate the plugin “York U Animated Block Patterns”
- Search and Add animated variation of modules 6,7, 13, 23, 30 & 40 to your page
- Publish the page
- See the animations here!

Google Analytics 4 Training:
As part of Google’s update, York will be transitioning our University Analytics to Google Analytics 4. This will be some big changes in terms of analytics available and how you navigate the platform. C&PA will be providing some training to the community that work with analytics, to learn more and empower you to leverage the tool properly. Please complete the doodle below for your availability, and we will select the best time for the training. Note if you are not available, it will be recorded and shared on the Digital Experience Hub.
