York University professor Carl James talks about how the challenges faced by third-generation Black Canadians could be a bellwether for other racialized immigrant groups.
Two key data sets show why this latest snapshot has significant implications for the Black community, said James, who, as a member of the Working Group on Black Communities, offered advice and guidance for this project.
“This means you can understand how the concerns of the Black community are weighted around ‘What’s happening to our young population,’” James said.
