Meet the Team

Dean Robert Savage

Robert Savage is the Dean of the Faculty of Education at York University in Toronto, Canada. He is a prominent figure in education, with experience across public, non-profit, and commercial sectors. He has delivered keynotes globally, appeared in multiple media outlets, and is the former President of the Society for the Scientific Study of Reading.

Savage has led international educational consulting projects with the UK Foreign Office, British Council, UNESCO, and various universities including projects on anti-bullying, home schooling, dyslexia, visual impairment, and autism inclusion. He has also advised the Ministries of Education in the UK, Quebec, Ontario, and Alberta, and worked with non-profits like the Order de psychologues de Quebec, and the Education Endowment Foundation (UK).

He is currently consulting for the Education University of Hong Kong, the Ministry of Education Ontario, the Max Bell Foundation, and the University of Oslo.

Professor Lorne Foster

Lorne Foster is Full Professor, School of Public Policy & Administration, York University, Toronto. He holds the York Research Chair in Black Canadian Studies & Human Rights (Tier 1). He is the Director of the Institute for Social Research (ISR), which is the leading university-based survey research center in Canada. He has worked in conjunction with national and international governments as well as public, private and non-profit organization around inclusive education and training.

Foster has led international rights-based consulting projects with government ministries and universities in China, Japan, Indonesia and India, and various other educational institutions on projects involving curriculum design and development. He has also worked with ministries in Ontario, Nova Scotia, and Quebec on the development of anti-racism policy, and worked with non-profits like the Multicultural History Society, John Brooks Society and B’nai Brith Canada.

Anna Jupp

Anna Jupp is the Director of Professional Learning at York University, where she leads the development and implementation of innovative educational initiatives for K-12 educators. With a strong background in teaching and program management, she has played a key role in shaping the university’s approach to continuing education for teachers in Ontario.

Anna is a member of the Ontario College of Teachers and has been instrumental in aligning professional development programs with the evolving needs of educators.
