Additionally, many Black history proponents lack general Black history definition and knowledge. This presentation seeks to inform audiences of effective and humanistic ways to approach Black history through a Black historical consciousness framework as put forth by LaGarrett King.
In conversation, Funké Aladejebi will respond and draw on feminist pedagogies to further explore how legacies of race, gender, and migration influence the contemporary educational encounters of Black Canadian communities.
