Presenter: Anjali Ajmera & Wonuola Yomi-Odedeyi, Ph.D,
Workshop Description
The education system in Ontario is a three pronged organization: the ministry, the boards and the federations. All three have roles in creating positive educational environments that work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequities. Join us for a conversation as to how the education unions can be supporting the work of understanding power imbalances, disrupting oppressive forces, cultivating individual and collective agency, while giving voice to and building developmental opportunities for Indigenous, Black and racialized voices and Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity community (SOGIC) members.
