Accommodation at York campus

York offers both a traditional dormitory and a suite-style option in our undergraduate student residences on campus. Rooms are available from May 15 to August 10.

Pond Road Residence is the closest York residence to the conference location, but Tatham Hall is also within walking distance.

Please be sure to review the rates below and complete your request by the deadlines to take advantage of these special rates!

Traditional Dormitory

Traditional dormitory rooms are offered in Tatham Residence. The residence consists of single and double occupancy rooms with several single-person all-gender washroom facilities on each floor. All rooms are furnished with a twin bed, dresser, closet, desk and chair; double rooms contain two of each of the listed items. Rooms are not equipped with telephones, but wireless internet is available. Photos of the residence can be found here.

Bed linen, towels and soap are provided, and housekeeping is provided on a weekly basis.

Please note that for the Double Room option, you must provide the name and information of the person you will be sharing with. You will not be paired with another guest.

Suite-Style

Suite-style rooms are offered in Pond Road Residence, which features 2-person suites. Each suite contains two single bedrooms (each with one single bed) and a shared washroom in the common area between the two bedrooms. Each bedroom is furnished with a single bed, desk and closet. There is also a kitchenette with a sink and fridge in the suite. Please note that cooking is not permitted; dishware and cooking supplies are not provided. A microwave is available in the lobby. Rooms are not equipped with telephones, but wireless internet is available. Photos of the residence can be found here.

Please note that the rates for the suite are the same for Single Occupancy and Double Occupancy. You will not be paired with another guest. If you select the Single Occupancy option, you will have the suite to yourself. If you select the Double Occupancy option, you must provide the name and information of the person you will be sharing with.

Terms and Conditions

Payment is due upon arrival and can be made via Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Debit Card. Cash is not accepted.

Check-in is from 3:00 pm-10:00 pm daily. Early check-in requests may be accommodated when possible, but they are not guaranteed. Late arrivals after 10 pm cannot be accommodated.

Check-out is at 11:00 am.

In order to make a booking, please complete our Accommodation Request Form. Based on availability, a booking confirmation will be sent within a few days of receiving your booking request. Once you receive a booking confirmation, you will be contacted to provide a credit card number to guarantee your booking. It will only be charged if you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice before your arrival, or if you do not arrive to check-in. If there is no availability during your requested dates, you will be contacted via email.

All reservation requests will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
