These merit-based travel support grants are designed to offset expenses related to travel to the 2024 Child and Teen Consumption Conference (16 – 18 October 2024) at York University and Toronto Metropolitan University in Toronto, Canada.
These grants provide on-campus accommodations at York University for the dates of the conference (check-in on 16 October 2024 and check-out on 19 October 2024). The value of each travel support grant is $522.00. Six travel grants are available.
If you would like to be considered for a travel support grant, please email copies of your abstract and biographical statement, along with a small statement of need, to childrenandteen@yorku.ca with the subject line “2024 Travel Grant Award”.
Applications are due 1 August 2024. Applicants will be notified of their application status by 15 August 2024. Applicants must be registered graduate students at an academic institution at the time of the conference to be eligible.
These awards are adjudicated by members of the conference programme committee. Proposals will be ranked according to the following criteria:
- Originality of Research
- Potential of Research to expand the field of Youth Consumption Studies
- Strong writing skills
- Need
