The restoration of the historical Glendon gazebos entailed very detailed planning and skilled labour to bring them back to their prime condition.
Restoring these gazebos was challenging as lead-based paint had to be removed. Once removed, the remaining paint was completely removed with the use of plastic scrapers. Restoration of the wood involved fabricating wood pieces to match the existing details using Accoya wood. Some wood pieces with specialized shapes had to be scanned and replicated with the use of computer software and a CNC machine (computer numerical control machine), which is a tool that allows for three-dimensional cutting tasks.
Total on-site project execution took eights weeks.
