Custodial Service Offerings

Cleaning to APPA standards

Custodial Services receives core funding to clean academic and administrative buildings. These spaces are cleaned to a set frequency level listed in the Custodial Service Offering. The service offering is based on industry standards developed and published by the APPA – Leadership in Educational Facilities – Custodial Staffing Guidelines used to identify the cleaning activity, frequency of services and description of task.

Please Note: For urgent services i.e. food waste clean up, Custodian will be dispatched during regular business hours however delays may be experienced due to other operational issues. Users are encouraged to discard their waste in the appropriate waste/recycling containers provided.

Service Request Submission applies to the cleaning of appliances (fridges, microwaves, water coolers/dispensers, other). For urgent response i.e. coffee spill clean up, Custodian may be dispatched during regular business hours, delays may be experienced due to other operational issues.

NOTE: Task frequencies may be altered due to unforeseen operational issues and/or unscheduled staff absences.

Reactive Care: Response time may take up to 2 hours; your request will be placed in queue based on its severity (i.e. flood, bio clean up are priority)
