Mandla Mbothwe is an Associate Director and Trustee of Magnet Theatre aswell as a Lecturer in the Drama Department at the University of CapeTown. He has directed a number of productions with strong community roots such as BEYOND SILENCE, NOT A PRISON and 9437 TO STADT. He is the Artistic Co-ordinator for Sithi@Baxter at the Baxter Theatre in Cape Town and a director of the Garage Theatre Company. Mandla co-ordinates the Community Groups Intervention project in Khayelitsha.
